മാർച്ച് 08, ഇന്ന് നമ്മുടെ ദിനം. സ്ത്രീകളുടെ ദിവസം. “ബാലൻസ് ഫോർ ബെറ്റർ” കാമ്പയിൻ തീം ആയി ഈ വർഷം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. സ്ത്രീകളുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ ആഘോഷിക്കുകയാണ് സ്ത്രീ സമത്വം സമൂഹത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള മാർഗമായി ഇപ്പോൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതും, ചെയ്യേണ്ടതും. നാളിതുവരെ സ്ത്രീകളുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. എന്നാലിനി, നമ്മുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടണം.
ആദ്യകാലത്ത് വനിതാദിന ദിനാചരണം അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത് “ദേശീയ വനിത ദിനം” എന്നായിരുന്നു. ആദ്യ വനിതാ ദിനം 1909 ൽ ന്യൂയോർക്കിലാണ് നടന്നത്. സോഷ്യലിസ്റ്റ് പാർട്ടി ഓഫ് അമേരിക്കയാണിത് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. 1975-ലെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വനിതാദിനത്തിൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സംഘടന അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വനിതാ ദിനാഘോഷം ആരംഭിച്ചു. 1977 ൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ പൊതുസഭ, വനിതാ അവകാശങ്ങൾക്കും ലോക സമാധാനത്തിനും യുഎൻ ദിനമായി മാർച്ച് എട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാൻ അംഗരാജ്യങ്ങളെ ക്ഷണിച്ചു.

What are the dates and opening times of the show?
The show opens on Sunday 10th March 2019 at 10am – 6pm and on Monday 11th March 2019 at 10am – 4.30pm
Where is the show taking place?
The Irish Beauty Show is taking place at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Hall 8C, Simmonscourt Road, Ballbridge, Dublin 4 (Loc8 Code is NN5-95-LB7) – minutes from Dublin city centre.
Where can I register for tickets?
Registration has now closed online. Tickets will be available on the door for €30 cash only.
Doors open on both Sunday 10th and Monday 11th March from 10am.
Is there a car park onsite?
Yes, there is a car park at the Simmonscourt Road entrance, however please note that spaces are limited and parking is chargeable by the venue. Visit www.rds.ie for more details.
Can I bring my children? Are you on social media?
No, unfortunately anyone under the age of 16 years (including babies) will be refused admission to the Irish Beauty Show. Please note that there are no creche facilities available. Unfortunately any visitors wishing to bring their babies and children into the show will be refused entry.
